Synopsis :
Verpleegster in opleiding Sam loopt alleen door de duistere straten van Zuid-Londen wanneer ze wordt overvallen door een jeugdbende. Ze wordt echter gered wanneer er iets uit de hemel valt. Een meteoor slaat in nabij een geparkeerde wagen en Sam weet te vluchten, net vooraleer de bende wordt aangevallen door een klein buitenaards wezen dat uit het wrak komt.

Billy Wilder maakte enkele jaren na Double Indemnicok en The Lost Weekend enkele noirs die niet zozeer krimi s waren, maar eerder satires op de Hollywoodproducties: Sunset Boulevard (1950) en Ace in the Hole (1951).
